Azure Migrate: The ASR cannot be registered due to an internal error.

When migrating one of clients’ servers to Azure using Azure Migrate, we ran into this terribly helpful error message:

The ASR cannot be registered due to an internal error.

It turns out that the only thing that worked reliably was to download a new registration key file from the Discover Machines step and inject it into the Azure Site Recovery wizard.
