Yesterday, Yahoo revealed that the largest data breach ever was perpetrated on their network affecting 500 million user accounts.
Worse, is that the hackers got passwords.
What this means to you is that if you use the same password across multiple sites and one of those sites is Yahoo, then these hackers have access to those other sites, too – possibly an email service and if the case, they can get into pretty much anything including your banking site. Think: password reset emails.
We’ve all been told to not use the same password on multiple sites so that you don’t fall victim to this vulnerability. But how is one to remember different passwords for each site?
