Vista and SBS: __sbs_netsetup__ won’t finish its job

When adding a Vista-based computer to a Windows domain with SBS as the DC, the preferred method is by using \fileserverconnectcomputer. I’ve found that with Vista, the process is largely the same as it was with XP, except that the interstitial user, __sbs_netsetup__ stays logged in instead of logging off then rebooting on its own.

While annoying, the workaround is pretty easy – just logoff __sbs_netsetup__then log in as a local administrator. Immediately after logging in as a local admin, the computer will reboot just as __sbs_netsetup__should have.
