We’re introducing a new way for our clients to remote-in to their work computers: the same great tool that we use to remote-in to your work computer: ConnectWise Control. This method is superior over Windows Server’s remote access capabilities; ConnectWise Control works from any device, is two-factor authentication-protected, and requires no setup on your part. Let’s get you connected!

 

Do this just once: install and configure an authenticator app: the Microsoft Authenticator app for iOS or Android or the Google Authenticator app for iOS or Android.

  1. Add a new account in the Microsoft Authenticator app by clicking the plus symbol
  2. Select Other (Google, Facebook, etc.).
  3. If prompted to allow access to the camera, allow the app’s access to the camera.
  4. Next, scan the QR code below.

  5. You can put your phone down for now; we’ll come back to it later.

 

Do this just once: create your own password:

  1. First, send a support request to support@workconsultants.com requesting a ConnectWise Control account.
  2. When we reply with your first-use password, go to https://workconsultants.screenconnect.com
  3. Click Login at the top right
  4. Enter your email address and the first-use password that we provided to you then click Login
  5. Proceed to set your own password. The only condition is that passwords must be at least 12 characters in length.

Now you may connect to your work computer from:

A Windows PC:

  1. Go to https://workconsultants.screenconnect.com
  2. Click Login at the top right
  3. Enter your email address and your ConnectWise Control password
  4. When prompted, enter the six-digit code from the ‘screenconnect’ account that you just added to the authenticator app on your phone in the “One-time Password” field.
  5. Connect to any computer that is assigned to you by double-clicking the entry in the middle column.

A Mac:

  1. Go to https://workconsultants.screenconnect.com
  2. Click Login at the top right
  3. Enter your email address and your ConnectWise Control password
  4. When prompted, enter the six-digit code from the ‘screenconnect’ account that you just added to the authenticator app on your phone in the “One-time Password” field.
  5. Double-click on the computer (on the right side of the page) that you want to connect to.

An iPhone/iPad:

  1. Download the ConnectWise Control app: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/connectwise-control/id423995707
  2. In the space labelled “ConnectWise Control URL” enter ‘workconsultants.screenconnect.com’ then press GO.
  3. Login at the top right
  4. Enter your email address and your ConnectWise Control password
  5. When prompted, enter the six-digit code from the ‘screenconnect’ account that you just added to the authenticator app on your phone in the “One-time Password” field.
  6. Connect to any computer that is assigned to you by double-clicking its entry

An Android or ChromeOS device:

  1. Download the ConnectWise Control app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.screenconnect.androidclient
  2. In the space labeled “ConnectWise Control URL” enter ‘workconsultants.screenconnect.com’ then press GO.
  3. Login at the top right
  4. Enter your email address and your ConnectWise Control password
  5. When prompted, enter the six-digit code from the ‘screenconnect’ account that you just added to the authenticator app on your phone in the “One-time Password” field.
  6. Connect to any computer that is assigned to you by double-clicking its entry
